4-7-8 breathing technique
introduced by Dr. Andrew Weill of
Arizona. He explained that this
technique is actually inspired by
yoga, really simple, not time-
consuming, requires no equipment
and can be done anywhere.
Dr.Weill also claims that the
method can help people drowsy,
even asleep within at least 60
seconds. "Mechanical 4-7-8 acted
as a" sedative "natural for the
nervous system, by reducing
stress and tension in the body," he
said.
So, if you want to try, the following
steps do breathing techniques
4-7-8:
1. Position the tip of the tongue on
the roof of the mouth, just above
the gum line of your teeth.
2. Exhale strong enough through
the mouth until it "whooshing".
3. Close your mouth and inhale
gently through the nose in a 4
count.
4. Hold your breath and then count
to seven.
5. Exhale through your mouth in
one breath, make a whooshing
sound, this time for eight seconds.
6. Inhale again and repeat the
cycle three times.
This technique allows the body to
take in more oxygen, making the
nervous system and promotes a
more relaxed state of calm. This
method can balance the nervous
system, which is often more
stimulated whenever you feel
stressed.
4-7-8 breathing techniques can
