Look Normal Healthy Sleep Cycle


Sleep is a requirement of every human being. Sleep must also be qualified to be healthy and not the opposite. Like what healthy sleep?

Doctors of the Sleep Disorders Clinic at Hospital Dr. Sardjito, Yogyakarta, dr. Astuti Sp.S (K) explains, the adults normally sleep for 7-8 day. During the sleep time, there will be five stages of the
sleep cycle.

The first stage, which time started
to sleep because it was sleepy. At this stage, one has not really asleep, but still a little conscious. No more than 15 minutes, the person will fall asleep or entering stage two sleep cycles.

"In stage two, the blood pressure began to decline, heart rate began to slow," said Astuti.

In stage two the brain also occurs
relaxation and a break from the hard work. Later, entered the stage three and four, one will be more soundly sleep.

The third phase is the phase nonrapid eye movement (NREM), in which the body would repair damaged cells after a day of activity. In this fourth stage, blood pressure and body temperature
was still declining. Dreams usually appear in both this stage.

"So if awakened in this phase, the body is still fresh, still drowsy, dizzy," said Astuti.

The last stage is the rapid eye movement (REM). At this stage one's dream will be intact. Slowly, heart rate and blood pressure increase. Someone else is ready
awoke after passing five of the sleep cycle.

"If those steps are met, the rise and will be fresh," said Astuti.
